Professor Ron Seyb has been teaching political science and government at ֱ for 35 years. Now, as he enters his final year of teaching before retirement, he offers an academic analysis of a handful of election-related topics, bringing humor and historical context to this election season. In this episode, Professor Seyb discusses campaign rhetoric, including political strategists’ harnessing of so-called “Big Data” and the use of generative AI.

“As campaigns become more adroit at using frontier technologies such as generative AI, the techniques for misleading the electorate will become more varied and more seductive.”
