John Anzalone, professor emeritus of French and media and film studies, presented two films by acclaimed French director C茅line Sciamma for the Denver Public Library in December. The discussions and Q&As for 鈥淧ortrait of a Lady on Fire鈥� and 鈥淧etite Maman鈥� were the 100th and 101st films he has presented for civic organizations and art cinemas since his relocation to Colorado.

Stephen Ives, associate professor of health and human physiological sciences, and Justin DeBlauw, visiting assistant professor of health and human physiological sciences, published a research paper in the titled 鈥淪ex differences in estimates of cardiac autonomic function using heart rate variability: effects of dietary capsaicin." Kendall Zaleski 鈥�22 was lead author while Abena Gyampo 鈥�23, Meaghan Lynch 鈥�19, Brian Lora 鈥�21, Tawn Tomasi 鈥�22, Emma Basso 鈥�19, Emma Finegan 鈥�19, and Jack Schickler 鈥�19 aided in the work along with collaborators from the University of Verona.

Minita Sanghvi, associate professor of marketing, published 鈥淕uess The Happy Ending of A Lesbian Romance Novel鈥� in , the world鈥檚 largest-circulation English-language daily. The piece, which references Sanghvi鈥檚 recent lesbian-themed romance novel 鈥溾�� (HarperCollins India: 2022), urges India鈥檚 Supreme Court to follow the U.S. Supreme Court鈥檚 lead in advancing marriage equality.
Pushkala Prasad, professor of management, was an invited plenary speaker at the annual Quantum Storytelling Conference at Las Cruces, New Mexico, in December 2022. Her talk was on 鈥淣arratives of Racial Capitalism.鈥�
